Inside, there's a money exchange bureau and a room booking service, Hotellcentrallen (see "Accommodation" below). All branches of the Tunnelbana, Stockholm's underground system, meet at TCentralen, the station directly below Central Station. Cirminalen, a hightech terminal adjacent to Central Station (and connected by escalators and walkways), handles all the bus services: airport bus, domestic and international services all arrive and depart from here; again, there's an exchange office, and the bus ticket office is here too (MonFri 8.30am6pm, Sat 9am3pm, Sun llam6pm). Ferries and boats Ferries connect the city with Helsinki and Turku in Finland, and with Mariehamn in the Finnish Aland Islands. There are four ferry lines: for Viking Line arrivals at Tegelvikshamnen, in the south of the city (in Sodermalm), it's a thirty minute walk across Gamla Stan to the modem centre; or take a bus from outside the ferry terminal to Slussen and then the Tunnelbana to TCenfralen. Aland Line and Birka Line services dock in Sodermalm, too, just up the quayside and close to Slussen at Stadsgarden. From the Silja Line terminal in the northeastern reaches of the city, it's a short walk to Gardet or Ropsten and then take the Tunnelbana into the centre. When leaving Stockholm by ferry, note the Swedish name for your Finnish destination: Helsinki is Helsingfors and Turku is Abo. The boats which ply the Gota Canal, between Stockholm and Gothenburg dock at the quay on the island of Riddarholmen, just a couple of minutes wau from Gamla Stan.
