Travel passes and tickets The best pass to have, certainly if you're planning to do any sightseeing at all, is the Stockholmskortet or Stockholm Card, which gives unlimited travel on city buses, ferries, underground and local trains, free museum entry, discounts on boat trips and tours, plus free parking and other surprises. Cards are sold undated and stamped on first use, then valid for 24 hours (135kr), 48 hours (270kr) or 72 hours (405kr): one card will cover one adult and two children. They are not valid on the direct buses to the airport or on the connecting night bus to the Nynashamn ferry terminal (for Gotland) although there's nothing to stop you using your card to get to Nynashamn by local train. Of other options, the Turistkort or tourist card is valid for 24 hours (55kr) or 72 hours (105kr), and gives unlimited travel on public transport and rides on the ferries to Djurgarden. In addition, the 72hour card gives you admission to Skansen, Grona Lund Tivoli and the Kaknas TV tower. Under18s and senior citizens qualify for a fifty percent discount on either card. Otherwise, you can buy a strip of fifteen SL ticket coupons, the Rabattkuponger (60kr) you need to use two for most city journeys; while the Ы monthly card (270kr) is often worth considering even for stays of only a week or fortnight. And with a monthly card, another 150kr (230kr otherwise) buys a Waxholmbolaget supplementary card that gives one month's free boat trave in the archipelago. Buy the supplementary card at Waxholmbolagefs office a Stromkajen (in fiont of the Grand Hotel). An Interskerries card (200kr) totn the same office is valid for sbrteen days' travel on the archipelago boats.
