LAngholmen. Kronobaktet, Langholmen (®08668 05 10). There's a summer ferry service (15kr) from Stadshusbron to Langholmen, a tenminute ride; or take the Tbana to Homstull and follow the signs. Stockholm's grandest STF hostel is situated inside the old prison buildings on the island of lingholmen the cells converted into smart hotel and hostel rooms. Between June and August and at weekends all year round, the 272 beds go for 90kr each, breakfast 40kr; at other times there are just 26 hostel beds so always ring ahead first.
