More genteel, and further north of the city centre at Frescati, is the Bergianska Botaniska Tradgarden (MaySept noonpm; lOkr), a botanical garden and park whose greenhouse holds the world's largest water lily: if that's something you'd go a long way to see, take the Tbana to Universitet and then bus #540. Back towards the city in Hagaparken, the Fjarilshuset (TuesFri 10am2pm, Sat & Sun llam3pm; 30kr, students 20kr) is a butterfly house, where you can walk amid freeflying tropical butterflies.
