An Argentinian restaurant serving steaks (with excellent homemade steak sauce) and South American wines. Not bad at all for the area. Slinger Bulten, Stora Nygatan 24. This smart new cafe just up from Slussen is the ideal place to stop off for an afternoon cappuccino. Good pastries, too the carrot cake is a house speciality. Indira, Bondegatan. Sodermalm's biggest Indian restaurant, with a good tandooribased menu. Prices are reasonable, with main dishes in the 6080kr bracket. Takeaway food, too. Jerusalem Kebab, Homsgatan 92. Excellent, good quality kebab joint with Arabian Nights decor fountains, tents, belly dancer videos; meat and vegetarian dishes from 50kr. basse i Parken, Hogalidsgatan 56; Tbana Homstull. Cafe housed in an eighteenthcentury house with a pleasant garden; daily lunch (llam3pm) basic but good. lilla Budapest Gotgatan 27. A good stop for weighty, set menu Hungarian lunches. Also has a bar whose drinks are a few crowns cheaper than most other places. Osterns Paria, Gotgatan 62. Reasonable Far Eastern food, around 75kr a dish; and a three course lunch for around 70kr. Pelikan, Blekingegatan 40. Atmospheric, workingclass Swedish pub, with excellent traditional food; the pytt i panna is good.
